Mike Engeholm and Alicia Garrison loved their home and had put a lot of work into customizing it, but they needed more space for their family, and for Mike's work. The garage addition we designed gave Mike more room at the ground level and a spacious new master suite above. Each level of the addition connects to the existing house via existing stair landings at the northwest corner, making more efficient use of the existing spaces. The new master bedroom has the unique feature of windows on all four sides, making the room feel bright and open, and offering views to both the street and their back yard. Mike built the addition himself, and the design we achieved perfectly ties into and complements the existing home.
