This new home design, by my friend Janie Boyl, is a retirement residence for Garrett and Shannon Damitz and exemplifies the word “home”, with comfort and delight at every turn. The single-level 1,700+ square foot home has a lovely variety of indoor and outdoor spaces perfect for living, working, relaxing, and entertaining. The main living spaces overlook land gently rolling down to the south. The home's placement on the lot and the landscape design respect the site's ecology, and Janie's efficient design and selection of finish materials and colors complement this earthy ethos. I contributed some design ideas, but my primary role was to prepare construction documents based on Janie's wonderful design.
